"He stilled the storm to a whisper;
the waves of the sea were hushed."
Psalm 107:29

Welcome to Weather the Storms, a page designed to uplift others and inspired by my friend, Lisa Olson. Information about my book “Glory Be!” including the mission behind it and author visit opportunities can be found here. You can explore my blog, sharing thoughts about friendship, ministry, and inspiration. You can also learn more about Little Limbs, Big Purpose and Manyata Ministries, organizations founded by Lisa to spread a message of God's love and acceptance. I am grateful you are here.

About Me:
What does it mean to feel fulfilled? Can we be satisfied by the family we always dreamed of having? Can our needs be met via a job that we love? Can wild adventures with our friends curb the desire for more, more, more? How hard are you working to achieve the ideal house, the perfect body, the surplus bank account? Please stop. Your heart and soul cannot be fulfilled by the material trappings of this world.
On January 10, 2020, I had a vision. It was more vivid than a mere dream, and with a clear message, I knew it was different the moment I woke up. My punishing fitness regime was not the answer, nor the career that I loved, not even the volunteer services that I scarcely had time to enjoy or the precious family that so often received what was left of me each day. I began to incorporate my faith into all my endeavors and that is when everything changed. I recognized that my purpose could be found if I committed to loving those around me as the Bible commands us to do. With God's help, I could be a source of positive, yet practical, inspiration for leaders of families, communities, and workplaces. I have since worked hard to put my faith at the forefront of everything I do.

Equipped with a new perspective, I was led to pursue a career in financial services, where I can share a message of stewardship with others. At the same time, I started a blog called Weather the Storms LLC, which allowed me to explore a new creative outlet. Just like the weather, we are not fully in control of all that we will encounter on life's journey. What we do with the opportunities that present themselves, is what matters to both our physical and spiritual selves.

I developed a concept called "Balanced Social Serving." This is framework that reminds us to
prioritize doing good for others throughout all our endeavors. This is the central theme of my
creative content and can be found in my first children's book "Glory Be!".

I promise that the more you pour into serving those around you, the more you will receive in
return. As we move through life into new roles and relationships, we must be intentional about giving
our time and attention to those we love and to those, still unknown, whose paths will cross ours
in the future. I hope my story will inspire you to do so.
